As part of the Enhancing Humanities Research in Africa (EHURA) Project, the African Humanities Association (AHA) introduces its Mentoring Webinar Series, supporting early- and mid-career scholars across the continent.
This maiden edition explores the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping humanities research. As digital transformation accelerates globally, this webinar provides a timely platform to examine how AI can advance scholarship, enrich methodologies, and expand the frontiers of African humanities research.

About the Speaker
Prof. Dr. Eng. Arthur G. O. Mutambara is Director and Full Professor at the Institute for the Future of Knowledge (IFK), University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a globally recognised thought leader, control systems specialist, roboticist, and technology strategist.
He has held distinguished academic and research positions at MIT, NASA, and Carnegie Mellon University. Prof. Mutambara is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the IET and IEEE. He is also a prolific author with several publications on Artificial Intelligence.

The Enhancing Humanities Research in Africa (EHURA) Project is an initiative of the African Humanities Association aimed at advancing humanities scholarship across Africa through research, mentorship, and collaboration. The project promotes both traditional humanities disciplines and innovative approaches, including the exploration of artificial intelligence and its implications for African scholarship.
